Ein herausragender Single Vineyard Wein aus einer der drei wichtigsten roten, autochthonen Rebsorten der Insel Kreta: Mandilari(a). Die in 500 Metern Höhe nordöstlich ausgerichtete einzigartige Einzellage Halavra mit ihren sandig - steinigen Lehmböden bietet ideale Bedingungen für die charaktervolle Rebsorte. Abhängig von der strengen, sensorischen Prüfung der Trauben wird bei Hand geerntet. Klassische Rotweinbereitung mit Vergärung bei 25 bis 28 °C und anschließende Reifung für 18 Monate im Barrique, gefolgt von einer Flaschenreifung.

Verkostung: mittleres-tiefes Purpurrot mit Rubinreflexen, in der Nase: ausgeprägte Aromen von schwarzen und roten Früchten und Beeren, wie Brombeeren, Johannisbeere, Pflaumen, Kirsche, pikante Gewürze (schwarzer Pfeffer,Kadamon) und Kräuter (Minze, frischer Thymian), Vanille, Zeder, Gewürznelke, etwas Waldboden und Moos am Gaumen: trocken, mittel+ Säure, mittel+ Tannine, mittlerer Alkohol, mittlerer Körper, die ausgeprägten Aromen der Nase finden sich wieder, ergänzt um Gewürze, pikante, erdige Noten und eingekochte dunkle Früchte, langer Abgang, große Komplexizität, mit einem sehr großen Reifungspotential
